My career in media started when I was an 18-year-old freshman at Cornell. I’ve been lucky enough to work in this industry ever since.
I’m a studio host, a play-by-play guy, a reporter, a writer, and a podcaster. I’ve called football, basketball, baseball, golf, and track and field, among other events. This business took me to seven different countries and 47 states (looking at you, Alaska, Montana, and North Dakota), plus the NBA Finals, the World Series, the Stanley Cup Finals, the Indianapolis 500, and the Masters.
In 2023, I added the “Media Credentials” podcast, which aims to take serious fans behind the scenes in sports media. In 2024, I started “Making The Cut, with Whit Watson,” central Florida’s only local golf radio show, on Orlando’s 96.9 The Game, an iHeartRadio station.
I was attracted to sports media in college because I reveled in the thrill of live air, and I relish competition. The best part of my workday is seeing the red light go on. Thanks for visiting.
